Your Skin Reborn: Give Your Complexion a Do-Over

Sun exposure, pollution, lifestyle and genetics can all affect our skin health and appearance. For several decades now chemical peels have been used successfully to reverse some of this damage and renew the skin’s smooth and youthful glow.

VI Peel works by gently removing damaged cells to reveal healthy new skin underneath. Like all chemical peels, it breaks down the protein bonds between damaged skin cells, allowing the body to remove them.

VI Peel Highlights Include:

  • Targets the signs of aging
  • Treats wrinkles and sun damage
  • Lightens pigment (melasma)
  • Smoothes skin textures
  • Suitable for sensitive skin, rosacea
  • Counteracts acne breakouts
  • Reduces acne scars
  • Minimizes pore size
  • Controls oily skin, congestion

Suitable for all ages and skin types, the VI Peel combines acids, retinoic acid, phenol, Vitamin-Cl and other active ingredients for impactful results with minimal downtime.

WHICH VI PEEL IS RIGHT FOR ME?

There’s a VI Peel solution to correct most skin conditions. Our knowledgeable medical estheticians will do a thorough consultation with you to determine which customized VI Peel is best for you. Below are the different VI Peel options you can choose from to help you achieve the best skin possible.

VI Peel Original

If you’ve never had a peel before this is a good place to start. The VI Peel Original targets the signs of aging, uneven texture of skin, enlarged pores, sensitive skin and mild rosacea.

VI Peel Purify

Clears up acne breakouts and helps to control overproduction of sebum. Helps to minimize and balance excessively oily skin and congestion. This peel helps to prevent and fade mild pigmented and textured acne scars. For more advanced cases see the VI Peel Purify with Precision Plus.

VI Peel Advanced

You’re an excellent candidate for the VI Peel Advanced if you have moderate to advanced signs of aging. It’s ideal for mature skin types with sun damage, loss of skin elasticity and fine lines and wrinkles.

VI Peel Precision Plus

If you’ve spent too much time in the sun or have dark spots, hyperpigmentation, PIH (post inflammatory hyperpigmentation) or melasma, this peel will help you achieve a smoother, more even skin tone. *THIS PEEL WON THE 2022 COSMOPOLITAN HOLY GRAIL BEAUTY AWARD.

VI Peel Purify with Precision Plus

Frequently Asked

Questions

With our superficial peels , there is no down time. These are often referred to as lunchtime peels. Our VI Peels will yield some down time, but the downtime does not start until 48-72 hours after the peel is administered. Once the downtime (i.e. peeling) starts, it lasts for 5 days. On day 6, your skin will be mildly pink (because it's freshly peeled) and on day 7 you’re GLOWING.

With our superficial peels, we recommend waiting until the next day to apply makeup. For the VI peels, when you leave our office you’ll have the peel on your skin for another 4 hours. During that time, makeup needs to be avoided. But let's say you receive your peel at 10am, you’d then wash it off at 2pm, and at that time, you can wear makeup. Once the peeling starts, while you technically CAN wear makeup, I do not recommend doing so. Reason being, when you apply makeup to peeling skin, your makeup will stick to your peeling skin, and it will just make your peeling more noticeable.

With chemical peels, you will see results after one session. Your skin will be smoother and softer in texture, your pores will be deeply cleaned, and you’ll have a healthier glow/complexion. However, if you have a specific condition you’re looking to correct such as acne, melasma, hyperpigmentation/sun damage, or fine lines/wrinkles, you will need to do a series of peels. Depending on what your condition is-and what type of peel you decide to go with-you may need to do peels biweekly, or monthly, and may need somewhere between 3-12 peels in succession. Once you get your skin where you want it to be, you will want to do maintenance peels. Superficial peels can be done monthly for maintenance, and medium depth peels can be done quarterly for maintenance.

With our superficial peels, you will need to avoid exercise the day of your peel. With the VI Peels, you’ll want to avoid exercise, hot tubs, hot showers, hot water or anything that may build additional heat into your skin for 72-96 hours post peel.

This is one of the really nice parts about the VI Peels. When you leave our office, we will send you home with a VI post peel kit. This kit includes all of the products you will use on your skin for the next 7 days. In those 7 days, you’ll discontinue any other products you normally use. This post peel kit will also have step by step instructions for what to do-starting with 4 hours post peel, and will continue every AM and every PM for 7 days post treatment. We will also thoroughly go over these instructions with you before you leave the office.

This is one of the most common questions I’m asked regarding peels. The answer is no, absolutely not. In that episode, she received a type of peel that is rarely done anymore, a DEEP peel. Deep peels are generally administered under anesthesia, and have about a month of downtime, and the recovery is painful. With the peels we do, you will never have recovery last longer than a week, and there's actually no discomfort involved. You may find the peeling of your skin to be annoying, but it should not hurt-given you abide by the post peel instructions.
